Word counts are calculated based on standard word calculations used by all newswires.  If you are unsure of your word count, you can prepare your submission in a word processing program such as word perfect, go to the tools menu and select word count.  The first 400 words should be reduced to 375 based on the need of the editorial department to attach an average of 25 words to each news release prior to submitting to the wires.  If you release is over 375 words, you run the risk of incurring an additional charge.
