Picture This: Qualex and Die-Cast Promotions Team Up to Offer Personalized Collectible Replica Vehicles

DURHAM, N.C., July 28 PRNewswire — Qualex, an Eastman Kodak Company subsidiary, today announced that it will collaborate with Die-Cast Promotions (DCP) to offer a new line of collectible metal replica vehicles that will be personalized with customer-chosen photo images.

With this new service, customers will be able to order from Die-Cast Promotions die-cast replica vehicles that feature artwork of their choosing — photo images, as well as accompanying text — incorporated into the design of the premium-quality collectible product. Because of the personalized nature of the die-cast vehicles, the service is perfect for a wide range of uses — from corporate recognition awards to children's sports teams.

Also, the personalized die-cast products may be ordered, produced and delivered in just a matter of days, which is much faster than what is currently available in the die-cast collectibles industry.

"With this alliance, we're now able to provide an unprecedented level of customization and service to Die-Cast Promotion's customers. Who wouldn't want a personalized die-cast collectible vehicle?," said Mark DeSimone, president, Qualex. "By combining Qualex' industry-leading image management technology with DCP's premium products, we can now provide new and exciting choices for corporate and consumer customers."

"Qualex and Die-Cast Promotions are radically changing the custom imprint die-cast industry, which has historically been limited by high minimum order quantities and long lead times," said Fred Ertl III, president and CEO, DCP. "Now, orders can be as small as one piece, and lead times have dropped from months to days."

Initially, Die-Cast Promotions will target the service to personal and business-to-business customers in the following categories:

— Youth sports — Corporate gifts and awards — Promotional and licensed sports products

They anticipate, however, that the products will soon be made available to a wide array of other markets seeking customized and/or personalized die-cast metal replica products.
