Get the REAL SCOOP on South American Agriculture with an 'Ag-Venture' Tour with Bob Thomas

UNION, Ontario, July 25 PRNewswire — Let Farmer / Writer Bob Thomas guide your "Ag-Venture" Tour to South American places most tourists never see:

Brazil / Argentina (January 31 - February 17, 2009)

Add-On Uruguay (February 17 - 22, 2009)

Open your cabin shutters on a clear moonlit night. Listen to the sounds of the Amazon jungle. Get the inside scoop on how Brazil and Argentina are driving World Agriculture.

This 18 day semi-inclusive tour is designed for farmers to learn what is really happening in Brazil and Argentina's agriculture, and also includes the "must see" attractions of Amazonia, Iguacu Falls, Brasilia and Buenos Aires. It's educational fun with time to get to know other North American and European participants. Talk to your Tax Advisor about deducting partial tour costs. You'll learn South America production and marketing methods for Soybeans, Corn, Cotton, Cattle, etc. We also gain background and socio-political insights of these unique countries. Our English-speaking Guides are trained Agronomists and provide a clear explanation of where South America is headed on the world stage and facts that you must know to better manage your own agri-enterprise.

Contact Bob Thomas if you want to talk to previous participants.

Add-on an optional five days in Uruguay. Lots of free time to explore the picturesque countryside, the quaint town of Colonia, or relax poolside at Don Antonio Posada.

Chile / Peru (February 21 - March 9, 2009)

Add-On Galapagos, Ecuador (March 9 - 15, 2009)

You've enjoyed their fruit and wines; now experience the people of Chile and Peru. From the grandeur of the Andes to the rocky Pacific shores, Chile has made a dramatic surge onto the world stage in a few short decades.

The 16 days start in upscale Santiago with a cultural mood-setter at the Dinner Show Los Adobes de Argomedo. We then head north to the Elqui Valley where irrigated pisco grape vineyards grow on near vertical slopes. Noted for the clearest air in the world, we'll also see the star constellations by night at the famed Mamalluca Observatory. The fruit, wine, and specialty crops of Chile are a success story in agri-production and marketing deserving of our emulation. Then, in neighboring Peru we'll indulge in the Incan mysteries of their advanced culture and society as well as experience the small farms rooted on the many indigenous varieties of corn. From ethereal Machu Picchu, to the Inca trails, Peru is another world you just can't miss.

You'll never be closer to Nature, so add on another 7 days in Galapagos and Ecuador. You'll long remember the Darwin Research Centre and the daily boat/field trips among animal species found nowhere else in the world.
