Hudson Conference on Continuation of Foreign Policy in the Next Administration
WASHINGTON, July 21 PRNewswire-USNewswire — Polls around the world indicate that the international public expects — and wants — Barack Obama to radically alter American foreign policy if he is elected president. In their new book, After Bush: The Case for Continuity in Foreign Policy, Timothy Lynch and Robert Singh argue the next president should do exactly the opposite. Rather than repudiate the policies of the next eight years, the next administration should preserve them, they write. Perhaps most controversial, the authors predict that, despite current attitudes and rhetoric, Bush's successor will take on the war against radical Islamist terror with similar focus.
Hudson Institute will host a discussion with Lynch and Singh, which will feature commentary from Lawrence Kaplan, editor of World Affairs. Hudson CEO Kenneth Weinstein will moderate.
