DailyLit Publishes 1000th Book and Unveils Customer Ratings and Book Reviews

With Launch of 1000th Book The Odyssey, Digital Publisher Launches Site Redesign to Encourage Readers to Rate Books and Share these Customer Reviews with Online Community

MAMARONECK, N.Y., July 16 PRNewswire — DailyLit (www.dailylit.com) has just added its 1000th book to the DailyLit collection. DailyLit today launched The Odyssey by Homer, bringing the total number of classic and contemporary works available on the site to its new high. To celebrate this milestone, DailyLit has launched a site redesign, including customer ratings and free online book reviews.

DailyLit now offers readers the ability to rate books — on a scale of one to five — and offer their own reviews of books available on DailyLit. The book ratings and review system complements the book discussion forums previously available on the website.

DailyLit's redesign also highlights books throughout the site, with book covers being featured more prominently. The most popular books are now highlighted in each category and "featured book" lists offer titles of interest selected by DailyLit's editorial staff.

Both changes come as DailyLit marks the publication of its 1000th book, an event that highlights the publisher's continued growth. DailyLit's 1000 titles include classics like Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen as well as contemporary works in many genres, from language learning titles like Berlitz Spanish Lessons to the best-selling Skinny Bitch. "1000 titles and going strong!" commented Susan Danziger, CEO of DailyLit. "How appropriate that our 1000th title is The Odyssey — we're just lucky to have avoided Cyclops and Sirens along the way!"
