A Fresh Start: World's Leading Photographers Bring New Perspective to French Quarter
DURHAM, N.C., July 16 PRNewswire — Local award-winning photographer, Tamara Lackey, has been tapped as one of eleven leading wedding and portrait photographers in the world to present at the upcoming Image X Workshop, set in historic New Orleans on October 6th - 8th of this year.
Julian St. Pierre, the creator of Image X, describes the workshop as a diversified event with top-tier educators, seeking to build on the spirit of renewal prevalent in New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina in 2006. St. Pierre is concerned that Orleans has become a "forgotten city" for workshops and conferences, and seeks to renew interest in the city for these events. Response to the event has been significant: attendees to Image X are traveling from Australia, Canada, Puerto Rico and nearly all of the United States.
Tamara was selected to speak at Image X after St. Pierre researched reputations of those in the industry and, he says, "Tamara's name was immediately presented as a "must-have" expert in the area of children's photography. St. Pierre has also encouraged workshop presenters to utilize the beauty, history and spirit of revitalization in the French Quarter of New Orleans during their educational seminars.
