'Amy's Forest': Loving Girl Receives a Special Gift from Her Guardian Angel in Illustrated Children's Book
"Amy's Forest," about a girl who meets her guardian angel, is an enchanted story with a bit of wisdom for children and adults alike, as Fusaro explains:
Through this book I try to show children that if you walk through life with a loving heart you will be able to experience many beautiful things that others may not be able to experience. I have personally experienced so many people who are so wrapped up in the negative that the beauty of life just passes them by. I hope to show children that through a loving heart, all things are possible.
Accompanied by full-page, color illustrations, "Amy's Forest" follows 9-year-old Nicole as she wanders into a lovely woodland paradise full of flowers, birds, waterfalls, sunshine and rainbows. Nicole is confused. She has never noticed this place before, but another girl, Laura, tells Nicole an incredible story that makes everything clear.
Laura tells Nicole the story of Amy, explaining that Amy is the reason the forest can be seen. Amy, a girl their age, meets an old woman who she visits often, and they become friends. Amy shares her one wish with this woman: for a beautiful forest that only loving people can see.
One day, Amy shows up at the old woman's home and discovers that she is gone. At first Amy is sad and confused. Where could she have gone? Why didn't she tell me? But a good-bye letter reveals that the woman was really Amy's guardian angel, and although she has to move on, she leaves behind a special gift for Amy: a beautiful forest that only loving people can see.
"Amy's Forest" is perfect for beginning readers or as a "read aloud" book.
