Statement of U.S. Labor Secretary Elaine L. Chao on June Employment Numbers
"Today's jobs report shows that now is not the time to raise taxes and take more money out of the pockets of workers when they need it most. The unemployment rate in June remained unchanged at 5.5 percent, which is lower than the average 5.7 percent rate of the 1990s."
