Wounded Warrior Project's Soldier Ride Takes a Bite Out of the Big Apple With the Empire State Challenge

Soldier Ride is a program of Wounded Warrior Project that provides key rehabilitation opportunities for wounded warriors and raises public awareness and money for those that have been severely injured during the current war on terror. Wounded Warrior Project also offers services and programs like benefits counseling, advocacy initiatives and combat stress seminars to aid in the transition from hospital bed to an independent productive life. All participants are provided the adaptive equipment they need to cycle with a missing limb or limbs.
There will be various media and interview opportunities with wounded warriors.
Details for the Charity Ride:
— Empire State Challenge opening ceremony begins at 10 a.m. at, American Legion Post 419, 15 Montauk Hwy, Amagansett, New York — Participants can choose from three possible events: 62 mile bike ride, 35 mile bike ride or a 4 mile walk — Post ride BBQ for all registered participants, which include an event t-shirt for all riders.
