MassMutual Call Center Wins Prestigious Service Awards for Second Consecutive Year
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., July 2 PRNewswire — MassMutual's Retirement Services Call Center has earned two 2008 Annual Call Center Excellence Awards sponsored by the International Quality & Productivity Center (IQPC). MassMutual earned the top award for "Best in Class Call Center" category (50 to 200 Seats) and was named a runner up for "Best Performance Leveraging the Customer Experience as a Strategic Business Driver."
"We're honored to be recognized for the services we provide to MassMutual customers," states Elaine Sarsynski, executive vice president of MassMutual's Retirement Services Division and chairman, president and CEO of MassMutual International LLC. "MassMutual has committed tremendous resources to providing personalized, meaningful assistance to our customers so they can prepare for a successful retirement. While the true measure of the Call Center's success is its value to our customers, this third-party recognition validates our process and our people as being among the best anywhere."
The 2008 awards were announced at the recent 9th Annual Call Center Week conference sponsored by IQPC in Las Vegas. In 2007, MassMutual's Retirement Services Call Center also was named the 1st Place Runner Up in the "Best in Class Call Center" category (staff of less than 500). IQPC provides business executives around the world with tailored practical conferences, large scale events, topical seminars and in-house training programs to keep them up-to-date with industry trends and technological developments.
The Call Center Excellence Awards are dedicated to recognizing superior thinking, creativity and execution across the full spectrum of call center functions. Awards were presented in seven categories to honor the most innovative call center solutions and individuals of 2008. The competition included entrants from Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 organizations that have made the call center a central platform of their success strategy.
MassMutual's Retirement Services Call Center is staffed with professionals who are trained to assist individuals in managing a vast array of retirement planning and saving needs, from questions about investment options to taking full advantage of matching contributions. Call Center associates also offer "roll-in" service so customers can consolidate savings from other qualifying retirement accounts to achieve a more holistic picture of their overall retirement savings.
"Our call center staff members care deeply about helping customers and it's rewarding to be recognized by such distinguished experts in the field," adds Marie Augsberger, senior vice president and chief operations officer for MassMutual's Retirement Services Division. "These awards are a testament to MassMutual's passion for service excellence and our success in delivering on this commitment."
