Fox Electronics Now Offers 3.3-Volt HCMOS Oscillators with Tighter Stability Options

FORT MYERS, Fla., June 23 PRNewswire — Fox Electronics, America's leading supplier of frequency control solutions, now offers HCMOS oscillators with 3.3-volt operation and tighter stability options of 15 ppm (F537), 10 ppm (F539) and 8 ppm (F53S). Fox's new F53 series is ideal for applications where better stability and noise characteristics are needed, such as in communication equipment, data transfer and test and measurement equipment.

As compared to traditional oscillator stabilities of 100 ppm to 20 ppm, Fox's new oscillator series offers significantly tighter stabilities as well as a wide temperature range of -20 degrees Celsius to +70 degrees Celsius or optional temperature range of -40 degrees Celsius to +85 degrees Celsius (R Version).

The HCMOS version offers an input current (IDD) of 7 mA and an output current (IOL) of 4 mA minimum. Output symmetry for the oscillators is 45% to 55% over a frequency range of 4 to 54 MHz. The series includes a phase noise of -140 BC/Hz at a 10 kHz offset and a jitter period of 3 ps (RMS). Maximum soldering temperature is 260 degrees Celsius at 10 seconds.

The RoHS-compliant series has a gold over nickel termination finish and features industry standard packaging of 5.0 mm x 3.2 mm, including footprint and pin-out. Fox's F53 series is packaged on tape and reel.

Pricing for a F53SR-40MHz (8 ppm, -40 degrees Celsius to +85 degrees Celsius Version) is $1.69 in quantities of 10K. Delivery is 8 weeks ARO.
