"Based on the expertise and tiny form factor Anaren delivered for us on the CC2420 and CC2430, partnering with them again on this new model was a simple decision," said Vidor Bergli, Texas Instruments Product Marketing Manager. This product, he indicates, is aimed squarely at the wireless game controllers, keyboard/mouse, automatic meter reading, and home/building automation markets. "Some of our customers have limited RF expertise, so a lower component count alternative to our traditional lumped element approach will speed-up development and reduce time to market," Bergli added.
Anaren's "0404" balun is part of the company's fast-expanding family of consumer-electronics sized passive softboard component solutions, which includes 0404, 0603, and 0805 baluns, couplers, power dividers, and RF crossovers. As with all standard components from Anaren, its "0404" baluns are backed by the Anaren-exclusive 100% On-Spec(TM) guarantee and B-There(TM) service commitment that ensures on-time delivery. Samples are available within 24 hours for qualified prototype work. And complete specifications are available on the associated Anaren datasheet, available on-line at www.anaren.com.
