AMBER Alert Safety Centers Names Carl Mittelhammer New Director of Operations

ROCKAWAY, N.J., June 18 PRNewswire — AMBER Alert Safety Centers, Inc. today announced that the Company has named Carl Mittelhammer as its new Director of Operations. Reporting directly to founder and Chief Executive Officer Kai Patterson, Mittelhammer is tasked with directing and administering all aspects of the Company's operations to include human resources, sales and marketing initiatives, event coordination, IT and logistical support and services.

Prior to joining AMBER Alert Safety Centers, Mittelhammer served 25 years with the Township of Washington Police Department in New Jersey. He devoted his entire law enforcement career to the safety and well-being of children having developed and implemented several awareness and prevention programs as the Supervisor of the Community Policing Unit. The initiatives were especially focused on "Stranger Danger," enabling young children to learn protective skills to be safe from child predators.

In addition, Mittelhammer held key positions with statewide organizations providing leadership and guidance on drug and violence prevention, school security and child safety protection efforts. Serving as the Director of Program Administration & Training for D.A.R.E. New Jersey, he managed, directed and monitored school program implementations with 400 participating law enforcement agencies. Moreover, he was directly involved with the training of police officers and educators in the D.A.R.E. program on interstate and international levels. In his role as Executive Director of the NJ Association of School Resource Officers he handled operations statewide for the school safety organization, overseeing the administrations of all program services. As a School Safety & Security Specialist with the New Jersey Department of Education, Mittelhammer provided key contributions to the School Safety & Security Manual: Best Practices Guidelines, a document disseminated to school administrators throughout the State of New Jersey. The manual provided procedural guidance and protocols on school emergencies including missing, kidnapped and abducted children.

Mittelhammer is an Adjunct Professor of Leadership Development and School Emergency Management at Fairleigh Dickinson University and a member of their School Security & Safety Administration Advisory Board. He serves as Chairman of the Police Foundation for School Safety, a 501(c)(3) corporation committed to the advancement of educational programs and technologies that support safe schools.
