Outraged Consumers Look to Sustainable Fuel Solutions for Gas Price Pain Relief

SANTA CRUZ, Calif., June 16 PRNewswire — The International Institute for Ecological Agriculture, (IIEA) announced today that overwhelming demand, driven by spiraling gas prices and climate change concerns, has led to the 2nd edition print run for energy expert and author, David Blume's new book offering Alcohol Can Be A Gas (ACBAG) (http://www.alcoholcanbeagas.com).

The first edition of ACBAG sold out in its first weeks of publication. Now that gas prices are leaping past the $4.50 a gallon mark, consumers, farmers and entrepreneurs around the world are turning to Mr. Blume to discover how they can produce sustainable fuel solutions for fifty cents a gallon, leverage Federal tax incentives to encourage sustainable fuel production and convert gasoline vehicles for under $300.

According to mega book merchant Amazon.com sales for Alcohol Can Be a Gas! (Paperback edition) has tripled in the last month and it is currently ranked as the best seller in Amazon's Science, Agricultural Sciences and Sustainable Agriculture book group as well as the second leading seller in the Science, Chemistry, Professional and Technical: Engineering/Chemical book group. ACBAG is the sole source of information on the process for inexpensively converting modern cars to run on both alcohol and gas and sales are indicating that consumers want to know how they can make this change.

"We have been selling David Blume's book at a fevered pace for weeks, to tremendously enthusiastic customers all over the US and in more than 30 countries around the world," said Steven Harris, CEO of KnowledgePublications.com. "People everywhere are fed up with the high price of gasoline, and heating oil. They are mad and want to know how to end this foreign fuel dependence. ACBAG is the only comprehensive information source available on alternative fuel crop distillation as well as gas/diesel engine conversion, heating, cooking and power generation with fuel ethanol made at home. It is enabling Americans to take back control of their energy resources from the big oil companies and OPEC."

Recently the New York Times and Wall Street Journal have reported that, when correctly produced, alcohol fuel is a readily-available solution to climate change, peak oil concerns, pollution, tropical deforestation and that it in no way decreases or impacts food availability or production. Blume's smaller scale approach to ethanol production neatly solves the fabricated concerns of food vs. fuel, energy efficiency, water use, and other issues that are trumpeted in anti-alcohol and renewable fuel propaganda.

"I am swamped every day with phone calls and emails from people that are absolutely fed up with the cost of fuel and the record breaking profits of big oil companies," said David Blume. "People want to find a way to develop true energy independence and to help put an end to global warming. Alcohol does just that and for less than $60 a barrel. This isn't science fiction or even rocket science. Making alcohol is mankind's second oldest profession and every day contractors, farmers, and entrepreneurs are rediscovering how to build and profitably operate efficient smaller scale distilleries."

In addition to working with its retail book partners including: Amazon, Barnes and Noble, KnowledgePublications.com, Powell's Books and independent sellers across the globe, IIEA has a great library referral program and is working with its distributors: Unique Books (http://www.uniquebooksinc.com), Emery-Pratt (http://www.emery-pratt.com) and Baker and Taylor (http://www.btol.com) to supply copies of ACBAG to school and community libraries everywhere.
