The Best Time You Haven't Had Yet

Girl Scouts Summer Camp 2008 is Almost Here

MIQUON, Pa., May 20 PRNewswire-USNewswire — The following was released today by the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania:

What's great about Girl Scout Camp this summer?

It's not just the cool and fun activities like SCUBA sessions, rock climbing, adventure activities, art camp, drama and clown camps and robotics.

It's the opportunity to make new friends while still enjoying time with your current buddies.

Registration is still open at the nine Girl Scout camps throughout Eastern Pennsylvania and chances are there's a camp not that far from you that offers activities including:

— horseback riding and trail rides — swimming — kayaking — canoeing — sailing — cooking — biking — dance and many other social, cultural and recreational activities

You can also learn to be a leader by taking part in Leadership programs at every camp site and become a Program Aide, Counselor In Training (C.I.T.) or Wrangler in Training (W.I.T)

Camps are open to all girls ages 7-18, regardless of whether they are a Girl Scout and you can bring a buddy. If you need a ride we have a private bus service picking up campers at designated stops and returning them after their session to the same location. So parents can keep their gas expenses down.

If you sign-up for multiple sessions, you'll receive a 15 percent discount on your second-plus sessions. If two girls from the same family sign-up together, the second girl will receive a 15 percent discount off each week she attends. Even without a discount you will experience a big saving over other private camps. On top of this all, financial aid is available.

Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania offers a safe camp experience and our camps are accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA).
