Becker Group Hires New Executive Vice President of Sales & Business Development

BALTIMORE, May 19 PRNewswire — Becker Group, a 50 year-old experiential marketing firm based in Baltimore, Maryland, today announced the appointment of Cheryl K. Dougherty as executive vice president of sales and business development.

Dougherty joins Becker Group with 25 years experience in marketing for the retail real estate industry. Her most recent position was as vice president of Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT).

At PREIT, Dougherty managed over 75 employees and was responsible for property marketing, corporate marketing and the company's in-house marketing services agency. She is well-known for her contributions to the shopping center industry as a faculty member at the John Riordan School of Professional Development, a frequent speaker at conferences, a committee member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Fall Conference Program and a member of the ICSC MAXI Team. Dougherty was selected and served as MAXI chairwoman in 2006.
