Ronald McDonald House Charities(R) of Southern California and Sea World(R) Adventure Parks Make a Splash This Summer for Children Throughout the Southland

PASADENA, Calif., May 19 PRNewswire — This summer, McDonald's partners with Sea World(R) Adventure Parks in an effort to raise funds for children through the Ronald McDonald House Charities(R) of Southern California (RMHCSC). Between May 19th and June 23rd, customers who visit McDonald's restaurants can receive a discount coupon for $10 on admission and a free second visit. A donation of $2 will be made per coupon redeemed to Ronald McDonald House Charities(R) of Southern California (RMHCSC).

"We are excited that McDonald's and Sea World(R) Adventure Parks are collaborating in order to provide guests the opportunity to save and enjoy a day of fun with their families," said Ti Chang, McDonald's owner/operator and president of the McDonald's Operators' Association of Southern California (MOASC). "And as a result, the Ronald McDonald House Charities(R) of Southern California can raise funds to continue supporting programs for children and the community."

RMHCSC is now celebrating 30 years of helping children and families in need and is committed to improving the health and well-being of children in Southern California. RMHCSC operates four Ronald McDonald Houses, Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, Community Grants Board and four scholarship programs. The Ronald McDonald Houses, located in Loma Linda, Los Angeles, Orange and Pasadena, serve as homes-away-from-home for families whose seriously-ill children are being treated at nearby hospitals at little or no cost. A fifth house in Long Beach is scheduled to open in 2010. Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times provides free sleep-away camp experiences for kids with cancer and their families. The Community Grants Board has awarded more than 600 grants totaling more than $14 million to Southern California organizations that directly benefit children. The four scholarship programs have awarded more than $2.6 million in college scholarships to deserving high school seniors since 1990.

MOASC is composed of more than 600 franchised and company-owned restaurants in the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura.
