The Crossing at Willow Bay Announces the Grand Opening of the Willow Bay Yacht Club

SANDPOINT, Idaho, May 19 PRNewswire — The sun is high on a summer afternoon. The kids are learning how to sail. Massages, canoeing and bicycle rides are scheduled after a barbecue lunch, and the entire family is invited to the evening's social benefit to raise funds for a local charity.

All of this and more are part of the many benefits and activities planned for members of the Willow Bay Yacht Club, the newest addition to The Crossing at Willow Bay, the luxury waterfront community on the shores of North Idaho's vast Pend Oreille, one of the largest bodies of fresh water in the Western United States. The Yacht Club, like the rest of the community, is designed to fit harmoniously with the natural beauty of the land and water. The quality of the facility and caliber of its authentic programming will strengthen the bond between members and their natural surroundings by teaching the skills, traditions and experiences available only in a marina community

The Willow Bay Yacht Club features a luxurious, 6,350 square feet, two-story structure that is conveniently located next to the community beach and the Yacht Club Marina. It will provide a fun place for members and their guests to gather and enjoy each other's company all year long. With plenty of room for both public and private celebrations, the Yacht Club has a long list of lavish features that includes:

— A stately great room overlooking the water with a floor-to-ceiling fireplace; — Catering kitchen and elegant bar; — Dining/conference room with outdoor extension through four French doors; — Library and business center; — Full fitness center with locker rooms; — Children's activity and media room; — Extensive patio and 1,900 square feet of decking; and — Outdoor fireplace and barbecue.

Wayne Ruemmele of Epikos Land Planning and Architecture created the vision for the Willow Bay Yacht Club. Ruemmele specializes in high-end residential and resort designs around the world, and received numerous accolades for his work on several buildings at Tamarack Resort. Frank Wakeley Construction Inc., a local firm responsible for several of the more notable structures and dream residences in the Sandpoint area, served as general contractor on the project.

The Crossing at Willow Bay is offering complimentary memberships in The Willow Bay Yacht Club to families and individuals who purchase homesites during its exclusive Phase One offering. A limited number of memberships will also be made available to members of the surrounding community.
