iBiquity Digital Extends Licensing Program to Include Host Micro and User-Interface Design Software Firms

COLUMBIA, Md., May 15 PRNewswire — iBiquity Digital Corporation, the developer and licensor of digital HD Radio(TM) technology for AM and FM broadcasting, announced today that it has signed software development agreements with Samboo Info Tech Limited, Analog & Digital Soft Company Limited, and KRS Electronics Company Limited.

"We are expanding the companies we license to include software partners so that we can offer manufacturers a complete integrated solution for building HD Radio products," said Jeff Jury, COO, iBiquity Digital. "Having these partners on board will make it easier for receiver manufacturing to create compelling products, with effective user interfaces."

iBiquity will provide direct SDK support in the development of software on the host micro and user-interface design as well as advanced feature integration prototyping. With extensive experience in the automotive head unit arena, Analog & Digital Soft Company and KRS Electronics will focus on software development for head units and Personal Navigation Devices. Samboo IT will focus on supporting home products in various form factors including iPod Docks, Table Top Radios, Mini Shelf Systems, and AV Receivers.

All three of these companies can now begin developing the expertise to integrate into products advanced features such as iTunes Tagging, Store and Replay, Conditional Access, and Real Time Traffic.

Samboo Info Tech was established in January 2005 by Founder & President Mr. Young Jae Lee, President of Samboo. Samboo is based in Shenzhen, China, and has a total of eight engineers with over 15 years of software design experience.

Analog & Digital Soft was established in September 1990 by President Mr. Park Hee Jong. Analog & Digital Soft is based in Seoul, Korea and branch office in Hong Kong, Soft-Max(H.K.) Co., Ltd. and has a total of twenty people between both locations.
