Ricoh Hosts Bay Area 'Field of 'Green' Dreams' at San Francisco Technology Portal

SAN FRANCISCO, May 13 PRNewswire - Ricoh Americas Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, is hosting a Bay Area technology event at the company's San Francisco Technology Portal. This day-long showcase will feature the full line of Ricoh products and solutions and demonstrate for current and prospective customers how to implement "green" practices into their business. The invitation-only event will be held on Thursday, May 15th, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Ricoh Technology Portal located at 220 Montgomery Street in San Francisco.

Ricoh was named to the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World list for the fourth consecutive year at the 2008 World Economic Forum and is an industry leader on sustainability. This event's theme is "Field of 'Green' Dreams" and will showcase Ricoh's extensive line of environmentally-friendly products and solutions. Demonstrations will be conducted to show businesses how to reduce emissions and lower the overall impact of their carbon footprint. In addition, Ricoh sales representatives and partners will be providing personalized consultations to help individuals understand what products and services are best suited to improve their own business's bottom line.

The event will also feature several guest speakers whom will be discussing the connection between environmental efforts and organizational efficiency. A federal government expert on the environment will be addressing guests on the importance of sustainable business practices, while Lesley Clark from the office of the president of the University of California system will speak on how its schools have integrated Ricoh solutions to help green their campuses. Additionally, Dan Geiger, executive director of Northern California's U.S. Green Building Council, will give a tutorial on environmental tips for efficiency in office design. Former San Francisco Giants first baseman J.T. Snow will add to the excitement of the day by being onsite to sign autographs and take pictures with guests.
