Swisher Offers Free Online Foodservice Training

CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 13 PRNewswire — Swisher Hygiene, the industry's leading provider of commercial cleaning and hygiene solutions, announced today that it is introducing its newly developed WorkingSafer.com online training environment at the National Restaurant Association show in Chicago on May 17. To promote the site's launch, Swisher will be providing four free foodservice training courses to customers who sign up for two or more new service or product lines.

Swisher clients can select from a full set of hygiene offerings, including chemical and warewashing programs, floor mat service, disposable gloves, paper and more. Upon making their selections, customers will be given access to four classes from WorkingSafer.com's large library of foodservice-specific courseware. These courses will be available to their entire workforce for three months at no charge.

The site's course listing covers a broad range of topics, including contamination prevention, cooking temperature accuracy and manager's certification preparation. Grocery-specific courses include customer service, register and scanner operations, shrink prevention, alcohol and tobacco sales, lockout/tagout and more. All told, the site offers more than 60 courses that address issues faced by operators in all segments of the food service and hospitality industries, including restaurants, supermarkets, convenience stores, hotels, manufacturers and packing facilities.

Swisher Hygiene developed WorkingSafer.com as an extension of its SaniGenics program. SaniGenics is a three-tiered process that promotes greater cleanliness and safety at commercial facilities by scientifically analyzing critical contact areas, then presenting solutions and offering training to address any contamination that is discovered.

Courses are offered in conjunction with CertiLearn, one of the country's foremost e-learning providers. Titles are interactive, with a combination of text, graphics and audio that is calibrated to appeal to multiple learning styles. Spanish language versions are also available for specific courses.

Once customers have taken advantage of their four free courses, additional classes start at as little as $10 per user based on the number of registrants. Volume discounts make it affordable for larger operations to enroll their entire employee base, and low starting prices help smaller operations give their employees critically needed training, as well. Swisher Hygiene customers also qualify for substantial discounts.

Customers can visit Swisher in booth 1876 at the National Restaurant Association show at Chicago's McCormick Place, May 17 - 20.
