PA DCNR Secretary Comments on Death of Clifford Jones

HARRISBURG, Pa., May 7 PRNewswire-USNewswire — Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Secretary Michael DiBerardinis today issued the following statement regarding the passing of Clifford Jones of Hampden Township, Cumberland County:

"Cliff Jones understood the wonder of nature and, as a result, became a tireless advocate for the protection of our special places and natural areas in Pennsylvania. Those of us in the conservation community will dearly miss his advice, mentoring and support.

"As an avid birder, he knew the need to protect habitat and ecosystems. Throughout his career and in his personal life, he worked to educate others and advocate for land protection and wildlife management.

"He touched the lives of so many of us, and for that we will always be grateful. Our thoughts are with his wife and family, who shared his love of the outdoors, for their tremendous loss."
