xpedx(R) Helps Phillies Clean Green at Citizens Bank Park
xpedx and the Phillies announced an agreement for the 2008 season that extends a four-year relationship. xpedx will provide all facility cleaning and maintenance supplies and equipment to the team's 43,500-seat, world-class ballpark.
The agreement specifies use of products and equipment that are "environmentally preferable." These products include towels, tissues, handsoap, trash can liners, floor and carpet care cleaners and equipment and other janitorial supplies that have been designed to have minimal impact on the environment. This could include reduced waste, use of recycled content, and reduced use of cleaning chemicals, water and packaging materials.
xpedx, which represents major manufacturers including Kimberly-Clark, JohnsonDiversey, Tennant, Rubbermaid and Heritage Bag, will supply environmentally responsible products from each company's "green" portfolio. The use of these products is part of the Phillies Red Goes Green campaign, a series of initiatives to aid in the efforts for a cleaner environment.
