FRC Action Endorses Bob Marshall for Senate
WASHINGTON, May 6 PRNewswire-USNewswire — FRC Action today announced its endorsement of Delegate Robert Marshall for the U.S. Senate representing the state of Virginia.
"Delegate Marshall is the conservative candidate in this race," said Connie Mackey, Senior Vice-President of FRC Action. "He drafted and led the way for Virginia's partial-birth abortion ban bill. He sponsored the successful ballot initiative preserving marriage. He protected the rights of Old Dominion taxpayers by dismantling the unelected tax authority in Virginia by winning a unanimous decision from the Virginia Supreme Court. He has proclaimed that he is a conservative, he has acted like a conservative, and he has won many battles as a conservative.
"Former Governor Jim Gilmore has insisted that abortion remain legal for up to the first eight weeks of pregnancy," said Mackey. "Under Gilmore's policy it would be legal for approximately 700,000 unborn children to be killed each year. There is a clear and significant difference between Bob Marshall's claim to the pro-life mantle and Jim Gilmore's.
