Felon in Possession of Firearm Sentenced to 46 Months Federal Prison

LOS ANGELES, May 6 PRNewswire-USNewswire — Robert Raymundo Figueroa was sentenced to 46 months, three years supervised release and $100 special assessment by U.S. District Court Judge Margaret M. Morrow, for the Central District of California, for violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 922(g)(1), Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

ATF and Los Angeles Police Department conducted this joint investigation under the Violent Crime Impact Teams (VCIT) initiative. VCIT seeks to identify, disrupt, arrest and prosecute the "worst of the worst" criminals in 31 U.S. cities, including Los Angeles

Working in partnership, ATF, state and local law enforcement, the U.S. Attorney's Office and the District Attorney's Office have used the firearms statutes and mandatory minimum sentencing provided in the federal court system to obtain the longest possible criminal sentences to keep criminals off the streets.
