Curtiss-Wright Announces Admiral (Ret.) James Busey Retires From Board of Directors

ROSELAND, N.J., May 2 PRNewswire-FirstCall — The Board of Directors of Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW) today announced that Admiral (Ret.) James B. Busey IV, 75, is retiring as a board member of the company when his term expires at the Corporation's annual meeting on May 2, 2008, after 13 years of service.

"Admiral Busey has been an integral member of our Board of Directors, shepherding our strategy through tremendous change and successful growth," said Martin R. Benante, Chairman and CEO. "His extensive experience and personal commitment provided us with a wealth of astute insight and judicious counsel. It has been an honor working with him."

Admiral Busey was elected to the position of Director in 1995. He was the former President and Chief Executive Officer of AFCEA International, and served as Deputy Secretary of the Department of Transportation and as the administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration. Admiral Busey compiled a distinguished 37-year career in the U.S. Navy, during which he rose to the position of commander-in-chief of U.S. Naval Forces in Europe and commander-in-chief of Allied Forces in Southern Europe, a NATO Command, from 1987 to 1989.
