INDIANA JONES's Hawaii and IRON MAN's Eastern Sierra Top Fandango's Summer Movie 'Vacation on Location' Survey

LOS ANGELES, May 1 PRNewswire — To help movie buffs and travelers schedule their summer plans, Fandango, the nation's leading moviegoer destination, is rolling out a special "Vacation on Location" feature, part of the site's 2008 Summer Movie Guide, presented by Pacifico Beer and available at http://www.fandango.com/summermovies.

The travel trend of visiting movie locations, already popular overseas, is taking off in the United States. According to an April 2008 survey on Fandango.com, 79% of American moviegoers said they would consider visiting an actual filming location as part of their summer vacation plans.

As part of an ongoing survey of thousands of moviegoers, Fandango fans are ranking the summer 2008 movie locations they would most like to visit. The results, as of May 1, are surprising.

The summer moviegoing season kicks off tonight with the debut of IRON MAN, which already accounts for 81% of all tickets sold on Fandango (as of Thursday, May 1, at 6:00 a.m. PT).

The Fandango Summer Movie Guide also includes premiere photos, weekly polls, entertainment news and Top 10 lists including "Summer 2008's Most Anticipated Movies" (led by INDIANA JONES 4, THE DARK KNIGHT and IRON MAN), plus a SPEED RACER sweepstakes offering a Paris vacation as the top prize.
