Consumers Have Their Say Online for BOMBAY SAPPHIRE(R) Designer Glass Competition
WHAT: As part of its 2008 Designer Glass Competition, BOMBAY SAPPHIRE announces the beginning of the online voting period for the People's Prize Award. The general public can view the top 10 U.S. finalists on www.designerglasscompetition.com and select their favorite BOMBAY SAPPHIRE-inspired martini glass. The design with the most votes will be awarded the People's Prize Award, which includes an at-home mixology session with BOMBAY SAPPHIRE U.S. Master Mixologist, James Moreland. The winner will be announced on the Web site on June 5, 2008. The Designer Glass Competition encourages emerging artists to interpret the classic martini glass in their own distinctive style, drawing inspiration from BOMBAY SAPPHIRE. Ten U.S. finalists have been chosen by a panel of renowned design experts: internationally acclaimed designer, Sami Hayek; Arlene Hirst, senior editor at Metropolitan Home magazine; Brent McDaneld, vice president of marketing and merchandising for Baccarat; and award-winning designer Jason Miller.
