Better Buys recognizes Lexmark workgroup MFPs with Editor's Choice awards

LEXINGTON, Ky., April 29 PRNewswire-FirstCall — Better Buys for Business, an independent reviewer of document imaging equipment, has awarded Editor's Choice awards to several of Lexmark International, Inc.'s (NYSE: LXK) workgroup multifunction printers (MFPs).

Lexmark's X560n, X782e, X940e and X945e color laser MFPs were recognized with the honor in Better Buys for Business' 2008 Printer Multifunctional Guide. Lexmark's X850e, X852e and X854e monochrome laser MFPs were also designated Editor's Choice award winners by Better Buys for Business.

Lexmark X560n

Lexmark's network-ready X560n is the newest addition to its line of color laser MFPs, printing at speeds up to 31 pages per minute (ppm) in black and 20 ppm in color. Suited for medium and large workgroups, the Lexmark X560n offers fast copying and robust scan and fax capabilities for $999*. "Lexmark has added this new versatile and fast networked machine to an already very good color laser MFP line," said Better Buys for Business.

Lexmark X782e, X940e and X945e

The Lexmark X782e, X940e and X945e are workhorses designed for busy business workgroups that need powerful performance. Each printer features Lexmark's award-winning eTask color touchscreen interface that drives industry-specific workflow solutions at the touch of an icon.

Available for $4,499*, the Lexmark X782e prints at speeds up to 40 ppm in black and 35 ppm in color. Better Buys for Business summed up the Lexmark X782e by calling the device "a strong color laser multifunctional with excellent speed." Better Buys for Business said, "The X782e combines excellent office color with strong multifunctionality. For those who want a color printer but want to extend its functionality, this is a good solution."

The Lexmark X940e is available for $10,499* and prints at speeds up to 40 ppm in black and 30 ppm in color. Offering faster print speeds, the Lexmark X945e prints at speeds up to 45 ppm in black and 40 ppm in color for $12,499*. Better Buys for Business recognized the Lexmark X940e and X945e for their value and multifunction capabilities. Both printers handle 11 inch x 17 inch ledger paper and come standard with two-sided printing.

Lexmark X850e, X852e and X854e

Perfect for large workgroups with extensive input, output and finishing needs, the Lexmark X850e, X852e and X854e monochrome laser MFPs are versatile machines, featuring print speeds from 35 ppm up to 55 ppm. The Lexmark X850e, X852e and X854e are available for $8,899*, $9,899* and $11,099* respectively.
