Ricoh Now Offering Full Suite of eCopy Document Imaging Solutions
Compatible with most Ricoh multifunction products (MFPs), eCopy's new portfolio of document imaging products are versatile solutions. eCopy's products convert paper-based information into electronic images that can be incorporated directly into the workflow of critical business processes. eCopy software also offers an intuitive interface that makes it easy to share electronic documents via e-mail, fax server, content management and collaborative systems.
eCopy Desktop(TM), the first product in eCopy's new document imaging portfolio, is PC software that improves productivity by enabling office workers to use desktop MFPs and scanners to scan documents and create PDF files. The software makes it easy to capture, edit and secure paper documents so that users can work with and share these documents just as they would electronic files like those created using Microsoft Word or Excel. It also enables users to combine paper and electronic files into a single PDF document.
Small-to-medium sized businesses will find eCopy ShareScan(R) Essentials(TM) to be the ideal document imaging solution for their operations. Workgroup productivity is easily enhanced with eCopy ShareScan Essentials as it securely captures and shares documents via a Ricoh MFP, in which the software is embedded. The PDF documents created can be sent to internal and external parties by e-mail or fax or be forwarded directly to network folders for storage or a user's eCopy Desktop. A scalable solution, optional application Connectors can be added to integrate eCopy ShareScan Essentials directly into other business software applications.
The enterprise solution in eCopy's new document imaging portfolio is eCopy ShareScan Suite(TM) — a comprehensive scanning solution designed for large workgroups and enterprises. This software provides a high level of application connectivity and includes out-of-the-box integration to content management, e-mail, fax, database, collaboration and cost recovery software applications, and includes eCopy Desktop. eCopy ShareScan Suite is also compatible with Microsoft applications and directly communicates with these applications from any MFP or scanner on an enterprise network-making document scanning and sharing a quick and simple task. Available in two configurations, eCopy ScanStation includes a freestanding touch screen and keyboard that connects easily to any scan-enabled Ricoh MFP. Embedded platforms allow eCopy to be accessed from the MFP's touch screen.
