IFMR Announces Summer Internship Programme for Total Immersion Program in Finance and Development (TIP/FD) 2008
CHENNAI, India, April 17 PRNewswire — Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR http://www.ifmr.ac.in), a leading business school based in Chennai, has announced Summer Internship for Total Immersion Program in Finance and Development (TIP/FD) 2008. The best intern here will be awarded the Rising Star Award of USD 5000 by IFMR Trust.
While internships are unpaid, IFMR will cover expenses as per its internship policy. Internship location would be anywhere in India. The best intern will be awarded by the IFMR Trust at the end of the internship. IFMR's TIP/FD 2008 is jointly organized by the Centre for Micro Finance (CMF), the Centre for Development Finance (CDF), the Centre for Insurance and Risk Management (CIRM), the Small Enterprise Finance Centre (SEFC), the Centre for Innovative Financial Design (CIFD) and the IFMR Trust.

Elaborating on the internship, Prof. Nilanjan Banik, Director of the Programme said, "The uniqueness of this program lies in its applicability part. The Interns get a chance to implement theoretical know-how in the area of finance and economics for projects currently run by different Centers housed at IFMR. This time we are expecting a large number of international applicants. IFMR will also be organizing a series of lectures delivered by well known professionals/researchers to apprise them about current economic conditions in India. The Interns get a chance to learn and apply their knowledge at the same time."

IFMR offers a 2-year full time program - Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management and a 3 year part time program - Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management.
