Skanska Opens Indianapolis Office

INDIANAPOLIS, April 16 PRNewswire — Skanska USA Building Inc. announced today that it has opened an office in Indianapolis to service the growing Indiana construction markets. The announcement was made by Kirk Frownfelter, Area General Manager for Skanska's Midwest operations.

"Indiana is a strong construction market with activity in many industry sectors," said Frownfelter. "Skanska is an industry leader and after working in Indiana for several years, we are excited about planting permanent roots here. I anticipate that during our first year, we will create approximately 20 permanent high-wage construction jobs in our Indianapolis office and on project sites."

In 2008, Modern Healthcare Magazine ranked Skanska as the number two healthcare construction company in the United States and was also named as the Top Green Contractor in the United States by Engineering News-Record magazine.

The Indianapolis office will initially focus on the healthcare, higher education and pharmaceutical sectors although they will look at other strategic opportunities in the area. The office will be led by Terry Parrot, Skanska Vice President and Account Manager.
