TriServ Alliance, LLC, Pursues TRICARE Contract for South Region
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., April 15 PRNewswire — TriServ Alliance, LLC, is pursuing the opportunity to respond to the U.S. Department of Defense's request for proposal (RFP) for TRICARE's multi-year Managed Care Support (MCS) contract for the TRICARE South Region. If awarded the contract, TriServ would provide access to health care services to 2.9 million TRICARE beneficiaries throughout the South Region.
Established to pursue this important contract, TriServ is an independent, community-based organization built on the experience, knowledge and expertise of seven successful health insurance companies in the southern United States. TRICARE beneficiaries will have access to one of the broadest and strongest provider networks in the nation, outstanding customer service, superior claims processing capabilities and innovative technological solutions. Because of TriServ's experience, the company is uniquely qualified to provide access to world-class health care services.
Leading this effort is TriServ's recently appointed chief executive officer, Charles Abell. As a retired lieutenant colonel for the U.S. Army and former chief of staff of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Abell understands the importance of providing superior health care to military personnel and their families. If awarded the contract, TriServ will begin servicing the South Region's TRICARE beneficiaries on April 1, 2010. Although TriServ will be headquartered in Atlanta, Ga., its employees will live and work alongside their customers throughout the South Region where they will forge strong relationships with local communities and military bases.
TriServ Alliance, LLC is an independent, community-based company established in anticipation of providing access to health care services to TRICARE beneficiaries in the South Region. TriServ is pursuing the bid for the TRICARE Managed Care Support (MCS) contract to administer the U.S. Department of Defense's TRICARE program in its South Region: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky (Fort Campbell only), Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas (excluding certain areas of Western Texas).
