The Lodge Restaurant will provide guests with a very South Australian culinary adventure. The island is famous for its cheeses, free-range chicken and pure Ligurian honey. Seafood is abundant on the island and will be a feature on the daily changing menu. Kangaroo Island and South Australian wines and beers have been hand selected to compliment the cuisine.
Twenty-one contemporary suites will impart modern luxury in this remote corner of the world. A range of suite styles are available, with the premium Osprey Pavilion offering extra indulgences such as a handcrafted wood bathtub and private outdoor plunge pool with stunning views of Hanson Bay.
The Southern Spa Retreat is an intimate and private oasis of calm set against a dramatic coastal landscape. The spa uses the Dreamtime-inspired Li'tya range of products complimented by local ingredients including Bay of Shoals mineral salts and Australian pink clay.

Southern Ocean Lodge is destined to become one of Australia's leading examples of sustainable tourism accommodation. The Southern Ocean Lodge "Environment Fund," created in partnership with the South Australian Government, will help to raise awareness of the fragile ecosystems and will be used for local environmental projects.
Only 1% of the land owned by Southern Ocean Lodge was used for the resort. The rest has been placed under a Heritage Agreement to protect against future development. Extensive water management, ventilation and heating programs for sustainability have also been implemented.
Rates begin at AUD$900 per person per night, including all meals, beverages, and guided touring.
