Capital Z Asset Management Invests with LightKeeper Investments, LP

NEW YORK, March 19 PRNewswire-FirstCall — Capital Z Asset Management, LLC today announced that an affiliated entity has made an investment in LightKeeper Investments, LP, a Boston-based long/short equity hedge fund focused on the global technology sector. LightKeeper is managed by technology veteran investor, Nina Hughes.

Prior to founding LightKeeper Investments with Scott Nichols, Director of Research, and Alan Kirby, Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Hughes spent five years at RiverSource, the investment funds division of American Express/Ameriprise. While at RiverSource, Ms. Hughes created and was Portfolio Manager of the firm's RiverSource Boston Technology Opportunities Fund, a technology sector focused hedge fund, and oversaw approximately $280 million of hedge fund and mutual fund assets. Ms. Hughes began her investment career in 1998 at Tudor Investment Corporation where she was a technology analyst and later the firm's software analyst. Ms. Hughes spent 10 years in the biomedical engineering and software engineering industries where she worked with several leading technology companies including Intermetrics and Baxter Healthcare. She has also consulted as systems engineer to the U.S. Navy. Ms. Hughes has a B.S.E.E. degree from the University of Vermont, a Masters in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University and an M.B.A. from Babson.
