Big Bar plans production of lapidary grade azurite-chrysocolla at its Yuma King project

VANCOUVER, March 12 PRNewswire-FirstCall - Based on historical mining of lapidary grade azurite-chrysocolla mineralization at Yuma King, Big Bar personnel have evaluated the lapidary market to gauge market demand for lapidary grade azurite-turquoise material. At the 2008 Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, a potential buyer was located, interested in acquiring an initial sample test lot of 100 tons of azurite-chrysocolla material.

The azurite-chrysocolla occurrence that was found in the underground working of the Yuma Mine was thus recently evaluated by Stan Keith of Big Bar and a potential contract miner. Initial arrangements with the buyer and a contract mining team have been made to mine a 100 ton test lot. Proceeds from this lot will be used to help fund exploration expenses at Big Bar's Yuma King and Troy Ranch projects. Once the appropriate blasting and associated mining permits are obtained, mining is expected to commence later this month.
