Robyn Bringing it to Austin for SXSW
AUSTIN, Texas,
The Guardian UK says Robyn is "more killinger than anybody else right now." Q Magazine says Robyn mixes, "tearful melodrama ("Be Mine!") with tongue-in-cheek throwdowns as punchy as cartoon boxing gloves ("Konichiwa Bitches"). If only all pop albums got it so right."
Robyn's single "With Every Heartbeat" hit #1 in the UK and her self-titled album will be released stateside on Cherrytree/Interscope Records this spring. Featuring collaboration with the Swedish electronic duo the Knife, so far advance word is GO. "Her self-titled record is stuffed with impeccable, streamlined electro-pop," says SPIN magazine, while The New York Times says that at her first US show "Robyn was greeted as a conquering hero. And she performed like one too."
