Pennsylvania Governor Rendell Celebrates New Job-Creating Venture in Dallas, Luzerne County

HARRISBURG, Pa., March 11 PRNewswire-USNewswire Governor Edward G. Rendell announced today that a state investment package led Luzerne County-based American Outsourcing Solutions (AOS) to expand in Dallas, creating at least 95 jobs.

AOS, which provides ad production and e-commerce services to the publishing industry, will renovate and relocate to an existing office complex as part of the $630,500 project.

"This announcement is an exciting victory for Luzerne County, because several other states were competing for this project," Governor Rendell said. "This is the type of business that could easily operate anywhere. By choosing Pennsylvania, AOS is sending an important message about the strength of our state's economy and the quality of our workforce. Our targeted investments are creating jobs and helping to create a positive business environment where companies can compete and flourish in the global marketplace."

The company's project was coordinated through the Governor's Action Team, economic development professionals who serve as a single point-of-contact for businesses that are considering locating or expanding in the state. Pennsylvania provided a $357,750 funding offer that included $190,000 in job creation tax credits, a $125,000 opportunity grant, and $42,750 in job training grants.

"We chose Luzerne County because of the proactive support offered to technology companies," said Jan McDonald, a Principal of AOS. "The Pennsylvania business climate and high quality of educational facilities made expanding our business here cost effective and easy."
