World Micro Completes Acquisition of Falcon Solutions
ATLANTA, March 11 PRNewswire — Georgia's largest Independent Electronics Distributor, World Micro, Inc., today announced the acquisition of Falcon Solutions, LLC, a leading national Independent Distributor serving major Tier 1 Customers. The board of directors of each company has unanimously approved the acquisition. World Micro President, Dan Ellsworth, cited, "This is an exciting time for World Micro to take advantage of the synergies and strategic vision both organizations share. In Today's distribution environment it is absolutely imperative that differentiation comes in the form of World Class distribution providing absolute Best-in-Class Quality standards. We now have the capability to project a global footprint in support of our key customers and manufacturers in the Independent Distribution Channel."
Both organizations bring significant levels of expertise from corporate management experience to advanced logistics, warehousing and quality processes. Falcon Executive Vice President and co-founder, Brad Waldrop, when addressing Quality of Service to Tier-1 customers Falcon currently serves, explains, "Our business is fundamentally based on trust and relationships. While this is a primary ingredient to success it will only come with superior distribution services in support of Best in Class operational and quality process control. In a world of challenging parts supply, it's paramount to remove the angst associated with varying supply channels and the integrity of products."
Combined locations provide Sales presence in Mexico, California, Alabama and Georgia, along with a unique Manufacturer Representative Program covering the majority of North America. The companies will move into a World-Class Distribution Center and Headquarter facility that opens April of 2008. All key employees and customer relationships will remain in place.
