OfficeMax Announces Dividends and Date for Annual Shareholders Meeting

NAPERVILLE, Ill., Feb. 14 PRNewswire — OfficeMax(R) Incorporated (NYSE: OMX), a leader in office products and services, today announced a regular quarterly dividend of $.15 per common share, payable on April 15, 2008, to shareholders of record on April 1, 2008. In addition, a regular semiannual dividend of $1.659375 per share on the company's convertible preferred stock, Series D, was declared. That dividend is payable on June 28, 2008 to shareholders of record on June 14, 2008.

OfficeMax also announced that it intends to hold its annual meeting of shareholders at 10:00 a.m. Central Standard Time on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 in Naperville, Illinois. The record date to determine shareholders eligible to vote at the meeting is February 28, 2008.
