Vectron International Heightens Focus on Industrial and Mil/Space Markets

Prior to joining Vectron, Smolka served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Axsun Technologies, where he grew revenue an average of 40% a year while driving the placement of Axsun's MEMS-based optical components into industrial process control, medical imaging, communications and homeland security markets. Previously, he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Industrial and Defense business unit at Bookham Technologies, where he led the growth of Bookham's high power diode lasers, tunable lasers and optical components into industrial, medical and semiconductor capital equipment markets. Smolka holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Tulane University and a Master of Science in engineering management from Southern Methodist University.
