Robert V. Royall Joins Edens & Avant's Board of Directors

COLUMBIA, S.C., Feb. 12 PRNewswire — Robert V. Royall, previous U.S. Ambassador to Tanzania and former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Bank of South Carolina, has joined the Board of Directors of Edens & Avant. Currently, Royall also serves as a Board Member of BlueCross and BlueShield of South Carolina and Emeritus Board Member of Synovus Corp.

Royall, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, has served as Vice Chairman of the Citizens and Southern Corporation, Atlanta; Chairman and CEO of the Citizens and Southern National Bank of South Carolina and Chairman of the South Carolina State Ports Authority. Additionally, he was Secretary of Commerce for the State of South Carolina from 1995 until 1999.
