American Capital Agency Corp. Files Registration Statement for Initial Public Offering

BETHESDA, Md., Feb. 11 PRNewswire-FirstCall — American Capital Agency Corp. announced today that it has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering of its common stock. American Capital Agency Corp. intends to apply to list its common stock on The NASDAQ Global Market. The timing of the initial public offering depends upon several factors, including market conditions. The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not yet been determined.

Citi and Merrill Lynch & Co. will act as joint book-runners of the proposed offering.
