ED in '08 Team Cycling Across Iowa For Education Reform

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa, July 24 PRNewswire-USNewswire — More than 50 riders will be cycling across Iowa this week to raise awareness for the need for K-12 education reform. The ED in' 08 cycling team will be riding in the Des Moines Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI). The team will be appearing in Cedar Falls on Wednesday, July 25th for the annual Cedar Falls Live Large festival, featuring Lance Armstrong. Members of the team will be available at the festival and throughout the bike tour to discuss why Iowans should make education a top priority in the 2008 presidential election.

The Strong American Schools' "ED in 08" campaign, a project of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, is an unprecedented up to $60 million nonpartisan movement, supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and The Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation, which calls on all presidential candidates to improve America's public schools.
