Doppelganger Partners With Top Fashion Brands to Offer Virtual Retail Experience

SAN FRANCISCO, June 12 PRNewswire — Doppelganger Inc., the social entertainment company offering virtual world entertainment for today's youth, today announced an expanded line up of retail partners to provide premium and status-oriented virtual goods for their users. In Doppelganger's three- dimensional virtual world, users can now make personal expression choices through fashion and dress their avatars, or 3D replicas of oneself, in the clothes they would want to wear in their every day lives, such as Kitson's stylish clothes or Rocawear's hip urban designs.

Doppelganger's environment provides an increasingly critical testing ground for youth-focused brands combined around events, content, fashion, and social interaction set within a rich, immersive virtual world. The interactive environment makes it easy for young people to decide what they want to see, do, wear and buy. Doppelganger provides a venue for marketers to connect and interact more deeply with their target demographic, focusing on the things this high value demo cares about: fashion, music, pop culture, celebrities, self-expression, community, and social networking.

Creds for sale

Members can now purchase virtual goods based on Doppelganger's in-world currency, called creds. Creds are based on U.S dollars with 10 creds being equal to $1 US dollars. Creds are available for purchase with Visa or MasterCard, or can be earned by taking an in-world job such as promoting clubs or events or signing up friends to join.

Kitson store opens

Kitson boutique, a top LA based fashion boutique well known for being a favorite of many Hollywood celebrities has gone virtual with the launch of their new storefront. The trendy retailer, who is always on top of the latest fashions and designers, has launched with a broad selection of virtual clothing items including T-shirts, hoodies, and jeans, available for purchase and wear by avatars. Prices will vary and will be based on Doppelganger's in- world currency, creds.

"We are very excited to be launching our virtual store with Doppelganger. It will help us to generate additional exposure for the Kitson brand and allow us to connect with our customers in a cool new way," said Kitson LA.

Rocawear designs available for purchase

Launched of the meteoric success of entertainment mogul Shawn Carter, Rocawear is the brand of choice for street savvy consumers. Rocawear has designed a selection of clothing items available for purchase in their virtual store in Doppelganger's Music Lounge.

"In the hip-hop community, what we choose to wear is the visual form of self expression. Doppelganger's users can express themselves in a more cutting edge way which is more consistent with their person in the real world. In addition to the new clothing items and virtual commerce, Doppelganger's world has added new exciting features such as a friend finder where users fill in a personal profile which will automatically show you what you have in common with other users in the world. User billboards have been added where users can take a photo of themselves and have it displayed on a massive billboard for everyone to see. Apartment previews are now available as well as live DJ sets and brand new emotions for avatars.

The partnerships announced today build on early successes such as The Pussycat Dolls live in The Music Lounge, DJ AM events, Maroon 5 live chat session and the launch of The Tyra Banks Virtual Studio to create a broader social media platform extending across the full range of media and entertainment experiences craved by the youth demographic.
