Who:

FreedomWorks Chairman and former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, David Schweikert, candidate for Congress, District 5, Sydney Hay, candidate for Congress, District 1, Tim Bee, candidate for Congress, District 8 and State Rep. Kirk Adams, Legislative District 19.

When:

Friday, October 10th, 2008; 4:00 - 4:30 p.m.

Where:

House Lawn, 1700 W. Washington St., Phoenix, 85007.

Why:

Heading into the November election, Arizonians are focusing on the economy and pocketbook issues. Voters are faced with a clear choice between lower taxes and limited government on one side, and more regulation and higher taxes on the other. With Washington throwing hundreds of billions of dollars around in bailouts and giveaways, taxpayers need watchdogs at all levels of government to protect their interests.

Across the country and in Arizona, families are facing tight budgets. If Americans are taking a hit, then government needs to cut back and focus on priorities. People are tired of politicians spending their money on wasteful projects, like earmarks, but it is especially egregious when it is done during more difficult financial times.
