Wayne R. Wilson, CPA, and Michael Thompson, CPA/ABV, CFE, lead the new company. Wilson, Thompson, and other members of the firm have extensive experience in quantum analysis and damages reporting in international arbitrations, domestic dispute consulting, and expert witness testimony. Gordius experts also provide business and asset valuations, construction and crisis management accounting, bankruptcy and workout consulting services, forensic accounting, business interruption, and disaster recovery services.
Mr. Wilson has over 15 years of experience in both US and international arbitration and litigation. Before founding Gordius Consulting, he led the international arbitration practice at a privately held, global consulting firm. He recently assisted Yukos Oil in both the Chapter 15 and London Court of International Arbitration cases. Mr. Wilson has provided consulting services to many Fortune 500 companies in the energy industry. Specific cross sections include: crude oil, natural gas, power, and petrochemicals. In addition, Mr. Wilson also has expertise with financial institutions, service corporations, tobacco companies, and sovereign nations.
Mr. Thompson has more than 20 years of forensic accounting experience working in a cross section of industries including commercial retail, insurance, financial, manufacturing, hospitality, and petrochemical industries. Mr. Thompson has also served as an insurance and financial advisor on many catastrophic losses throughout the world. Additionally, Mr. Thompson has served as an expert on several internal and litigated forensic accounting investigations involving alleged misappropriation of assets, bribery, fraud, and illegal acts. Prior to Gordius Consulting, Mr. Thompson was a Managing Director of a privately held, global consulting firm. Mr. Thompson has also served as President and CEO of an international forensic engineering firm.
