Business leaders, elected officials and representatives of the more than 50 organizations in Pennsylvania supporting strong energy savings legislation will hold a press conference on Monday, October 6, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. in the Capitol Media Center, State Capitol Annex in Harrisburg.
Participants will be urging the Pennsylvania General Assembly to pass a robust energy savings plan before the Senate leaves for the remainder of the year on October 8. Passage of the plan this session is vital if Pennsylvania’s families and businesses are to have the tools necessary for smarter energy use and lower bills before the rate caps on electricity expire in 2010.
