WASHINGTON-(Business Wire)-October 3, 2008 - “Business Roundtable commends the courage and leadership of congressional supporters of the bipartisan Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 (EESA). This legislation, which affects all working families as well as small and large businesses alike, is a fundamental step toward restoring confidence in our economy and stabilizing global financial markets.
During the past two weeks, we have seen members of Congress and the administration demonstrate great resolve, putting partisan differences aside and making difficult decisions to ensure our country’s competitiveness in today’s international economy. We look forward to continuing this important work with policymakers and the administration,†said John Castellani, president of Business Roundtable.
