Intellicheck Mobilisa's Floating Area Network is a Success

PORT TOWNSEND, Wash.-(Business Wire)-October 2, 2008 - Intelli-Check - Mobilisa, Inc. (AMEX:IDN) has successfully demonstrated their Floating Area Network (FAN) technology to the U.S. Navy.

During the Navy’s prestigious annual exercise, Trident Warrior 2008, Intellicheck Mobilisa’s FAN established high-speed computer communications between ships transiting the Pacific Ocean. Conducted over a 10-day period, FAN successfully conducted several stressful testing and evaluation scenarios, including transferring large computer files wirelessly between ships at speeds much faster than satellite-enabled systems.

The success of this testing, and its actual use during a satellite communications outage validates the utility of the FAN system. “FAN is an affordable, reliable and faster way to communicate between ships, and is needed to augment the military’s highly stressed satellite resources," said Intellicheck Mobilisa’s Wireless Program Manager Jim Rabb.

FAN enables naval ships to send e-mails/messages, data files, chat and video teleconference wirelessly with ships in a battle group.
